What's showing
Real conversions, not concepts
This is the second year of the Buzz-In. Roughly nineteen vans turned up in 2025 and the organizers are hoping for more, which tells you the scale: small, friendly, and mostly owners talking to owners.
- Peace Vans' full camper conversion, with the pop top raised
- Vans fitted with kitchen boxes and sleeper platforms
- Possibly a prototype of the anticipated Weekender build
- Swickard VW of Bellingham, on hand for questions about the van
- Vendors including Mountain Mats and Terrawagen
The organizers suggest arriving early if you're bringing your own Buzz, to get a spot inside the action rather than at the edge of the lot.
Worth paying attention to
What to look at while you're there
If you're weighing a conversion, a few things are much easier to judge in person than from photographs:
- Headroom under a raised pop top. Renders always flatter this. Stand up in one.
- Bed length. The Buzz is shorter inside than it looks. If you're tall, lie down before you commit.
- Where the weight sits. Ask owners what a conversion did to their real-world range.
- How a kitchen box actually deploys — in the rain, with the tailgate up, at dusk.
- Overnight Mode. Ask anyone who has slept in theirs how it held temperature, and what it cost them in miles by morning.
That last one is the question almost nobody has published a straight answer to yet. Here's what we know about how it works.
After the event
Photos to come
We're planning to be there with a camera. This page will fill up with real photographs of real ID. Buzz campers afterward — which, unlike the concepts elsewhere on this site, is the genuine article.
Note to self: after Aug 22, replace this
section with the photo recap, update the page title to
"PNW Buzz-In 2026 — Photos and What We Saw", and change the JSON-LD
eventStatus if anything about the event changed.
